A.DS.11 Active Principal
The cosmetic line of products α-mar is based on the very effective active principal A.DS.11 extracted from a Mediterranean alga called Padina pavonica. This alga belongs to the Pheophycaea family of alga and is cultivated in underwater farms in the Maltese archipelago. Performant technology is used in its culture and processing to produce the extract for A.DS. 11, thus guarantying its extraordinary activity.
A.DS.11, applied regularly to the human skin, stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans (hialuronic acids and dermatine sulfate). This helps the skin to reproduce these substances which decrease with age - thus, it assists the hydration and elasticity of the skin. The increase in the level of proteoglycans in the dermis slows down the process of cutaneous ageing. It also improves the volume of water fixed in the skin, which contributes to optimise the metabolic functions and helps the elimination of aggressive free radicals substances.
This active ingredient, derived from the underwater world, acts deep within the skin, incorporating important properties:
- It prevents the ageing of the cutaneous proteins, restoring the flexibility and elasticity of the skin.
- It retains an important quantity of water avoiding the loss of water in the lower levels of skin.
- It stimulates the response of the cells relative to environmental aggressions, collaborating in the maintenance of a healthy and cared skin.
- It improves the absorption of dietary calcium.
A.DS.11 reinforces the restructuring, regeneration, revitalizing and hydrating properties of the skin, which, together with the hialuronic acid and vitamin E, is translated into an anti-ageing action. On a young skin, it stimulates the renewal of the cellular cycle, and on a skin with signs of ageing, it diminishes progressively the wrinkles, flaccidity and lack of elasticity.
It is adapted to every skin type particularly to prematurely weakened skins and hyperactive skins.

RONACARE® ASC III®
RONACARE® ASC III® is an effective amplifier of collagen III as it selectively increases collagen III production by enhancing the fibroblast activity via modulating cytokine production. The significant increase in pro-collagen III (the juvenile collagen) accompanied by a pronounced increase of the epidermal layer thickness results in an improvement in dermal/epidermal junction area and reformation of collagen fibers in the dermis.
Skin care products containing RONACARE® ASC III® can, therefore, repair the natural collagen support layer that lies just beneath the skin, resulting in increased skin elasticity and smoothness and reduction of facial lines and wrinkles.
