TEX-OE® Natural Fruit Extract
TEX-OE® is a patented natural active extract from a fruit consumed by millions of people worldwide, that helps the organism to reduce the deleterious effects of stress and assist the rapid recovery following stress and exposure to aggressive conditions. Stress can be defined as any physiological condition where the organism is placed in an exceptionally aggressive situation and needs to rely on the syntheses of Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) to recover.
The human body has no immediate response to stress. It can react after a period of time, when the damage related to stress has occurred, by repairing the damaged tissue. Under certain aggressive conditions such as intense sport or exposure to extreme temperatures, during periods of infection (bacteria or virus), or following surgery, the body feels tired and requires a relatively long period of time to recover from the stress situation.
The mechanism responsible for protecting and restoring the body following a stress utilises a group of molecules called Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs). These molecules are grouped into families and are identified as HSPs 27, 70, 72, and 90. The number represents the molecular mass of the protein (HSPs). They are also referred to as Chaperonins or Glucose Regulating proteins.

Their role is to maintain the structural integrity and specific arrangement of tissues as well as the elimination of malformed or non-functional proteins. HSPs appear rapidly at elevated levels in the body following stress. They are very efficient at repairing cell and tissue damage and maintain long-term integrity of these structures.
TEX-OE® has been clinically tested by an international medical team under conditions of intense stress exposing volunteers to: extreme temperatures, scuba diving, free diving, jogging, cycling, motor sport, skiing, climbing, alcohol consumption and surgery (cardiac and gynaecological).
The result indicates that with one dose of TEX-OE®, the organism achieves maximal protection by inducing the synthesis HSPs in the blood very rapidly (within 30 minutes from the onset of stress as opposed to 120 minutes). This protection is maintained for a period of 3 days before it starts to decline. Under normal conditions (no preconditioning with TEX-OE®), the body responds within 2 hours from the onset of stress. With repeated stress over successive days, the degree of the response is diminished in a few hours.

Administration of TEX-OE® allows the body to maintain sufficient blood HSPs level for 3 days. With TEX-OE® high levels of HSPs are produced 10-20 minutes after the onset of stress. Without preconditioning, the increase is observed after 120 minutes from the start of the stress. With and without preconditioning, the blood HSPs level is the same before the exposure to the stress.
